I am using process model to create simple application to use accountid column from one table to filter other table. The accountid list is passed as PV but I am not able to pass the PV in SQL query and its not accessible even after creating a input variable.  SELECT Account_id,Name,'Status code','C&D' FROM Account_table where Account_id in (pv!bkk_act_list.Account_id)

I have two process variable bkk_act_id,filt_table. Both are record type of two different table with common Account_id. I want to use account list in the first table to filter the second table rows containg that Account_id. While this work if I use the record type directly, but when I try to do the same with process variable its throwing error for both the variable processing:  Expression evaluation error at function a!queryRecordType [line 11]: Could not cast from Tst_act_list to RecordType. Hi all, I am new to the Appian. I am created an interface with record type, add option and a process model to save the data in database. Created process model with the options ‘write to entity’ and ‘write to records. Below is my understanding. Enable activity chaining is refreshing record type data in both the options. Rule input for interface can be created by using CDT. This will work only for ‘write to entity’. ‘Write to entity’ and ‘Write to record’ both are same. ‘Write to record’ is the latest one and ‘Write to entity’ is the legacy approach.  Please confirm is there any other main difference.

Hi Everyone, am trying to add comment history to capture the comments added by the user and stages of the approval. Requirement is to show the comment by default, if user not added the comment remove the space.  Below is the reference code. But the condition seems not working. Thanks to help here to learn more!

I have created a related action for a record type, and it is working well when i open it from the summary view in the main dashboard where i am presenting it but when i am trying to create a button for the same action it is not working well.

In the Interfaces 103 training, during Sprint 3, the video at around 2:34 shows 3 objects under Workflow and 4 objects under Security and Organization. However, my screen shows 2 objects under Workflow and 4 objects under Security and Organization. Then at 3:02 in the video, our screens again look (about) the same. Then at 3:09 in the video, the instructor has a "PF_CreateGoal" interface, but I don't have it. I have the other 5 interfaces, from the prior sprint (lesson) but not the new interface. I also do not have a workflow like his "PF Neww Goal" workflow. In fairness, the current "Generate Record Actions" is a bit different from the video. But the "Generate Record Actions" succeeded, so where did the objects go? -John

Hi Appian Community - I am new to Appian and excited to use it for my use cases.  I have searched in documentations and didn't find anything related to configuration management aspect of design what I meant is - if I am creating one application it will expose some feature flags, some configuration placeholders for end user customization. what is Appian recommendation, do you have any patterns with examples which newcomers can use as a reference?  What are do and don't in that area? Also, base vs overrides configurations client wise - if your app is being used by multiple clients. Please provide guidance.

Hi, I am trying to load a dropdown along with paragraph Field in each row of the editable grid.  I thought dropdown control will align vertically to top so that both control in each row will appear properly. But, the outcome is NOT looking good. Is there any alternative way using which I can bring both control to same  height (vertically to the same height)

Hi All, I have a query if we have two array one is local!finalGridData and second one is local!origionalData. In the local!finalgridData i have updated data  local!finalGridData containing data like- 1. id:1, enddate: 21/01/2025 ,   id:1, endDate: 20/01/2025, id: 1, endDate: 19/01/2025 2. id:2, enddDate: 17/01/2025, id:2,enddate:15/01/2025 local!origionalData containing data like- local!finalGridData containing data like- 1. id:1, enddate: 15/01/2025 ,   id:1, endDate: 16/01/2025, id: 1, endDate: 14/01/2025 2. id:2, enddDate: 17/01/2025, id:2,enddate:15/01/2025 now we can see in local!finalGridData i have some updated data with endDate , but it also have data for id:2 which is not updated. so i want to fetch only updated data from local!finalGridData .  in this scenario id:2 data is not updated but in some cases it will update if user updated the date from UI . if both ids data updated then it's ok to send all the data but if not for all ids the
