New to Appian

Hi all! New to Appian, and I am stuck on figuring out how to correct configure a dependent dropdown.  The first dropdown field is called "Plant," and its fields consist of plantId, value, & description. The second dropdown field is called "Storage Location," and its fields consist of werks, name1, & land1. Both queries have one similar field, which is "value" and "werks," but I need to call back "plantid." How would I do that? Thanks! 

Background: I created some groups in my app and added my account to them. The app has a site that’s visible to all users, but one page within the site is only visible to specific groups. Questions: 1.When visiting this site, how can I switch between groups to test access? 2.I assume I can change my group by clicking this button (the first one in the screenshot). However, the groups I created aren’t listed here. How can I add them to this list? Additional Info: This issue occurred during the "Build an Application: Step-by-Step" hands-on practice. >When I set the visibility of the [My Task] page in the site to "Always show", I can access the [My Task] page. >But when I set its visibility to "Only visible to specific groups" (the intended setting), the [My Task] page doesn’t appear when I visit the site. Hello,I’m trying to create a Custom Data Type (CDT) and a Data Store Entity (DSE) in Appian, but I don’t see any option to create them. I have checked the Data Types and Data Stores sections. The buttons or menu options for creating a new CDT or DSE are not visible. Is there a setting, permission, or prerequisite I might be missing?Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm currently working on Step #5 of the "Build an Application (Step-by-Step Acme Auto)" guide. When attempting to configure the data source, there are no database tables available to select.   Additionally, I noticed that in the Acme Auto solution application, when I select the Vehicle record type, a banner appears at the top stating: "The data source cannot be reached or its configuration is invalid." I'm not sure if this is related to the issue, but I wanted to mention it in case it helps with troubleshooting. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I'm currently trying to use the import excel to database smart service within my process model and it's completing but not updating my data store entity.Process model:Start -> User form -> Import Excel to DB smart service -> EndThe file that I input in the form is an excel file and gets saved, and I have also configured the smart service so that the data source is a constant that contains the text which is my datasource: "jdbc/{name}". Table name: {SQL database table name}", excel file: Process variable which is stored excel document. After configuring all of these as followed by a youtube video that showcased this smart service, the data is not saving.I made sure that my column headers(A1,B1,C1) are exactly as stated within my CDT and matches the data type.How would I fix this/do this differently?

I have main data store entity that comes from CDT, in this CDT has 2 related CDT's. I am currently trying to delete from main data store entity to then have impacts on the related ones. When I made a process model that takes user input that then results in "delete from data store entities" node to delete, it was working for a few unique identifiers before not working anymore. It has ConstraintViolation as the error that it's giving. I am just trying to clear all of the data that are within my DSE's but keep the structure there.

Im getting the error when writing to data store:  ... " with identifier value `1007` does not exist  " . This is the value of my primary key I'm trying to insert into the data store. I already have the primary key from user input and I'm trying to write all of the info into an empty data store. (I would share screenshot but it's work information). This is occurring within my process model when I am using the write to data store smart service.  Why is this happening?

I am extremely new to Appian and looking for some answers. I have searched the forums to no avail. I have created a Site with multiple pages in it, one of them being a Contact Us page. Hey Everybody, I am fairly new to Appian. Since yesterday, I haven't been able to access the community edition. All I can see is  "This site is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance" But the status of my country on their status page shows "Online". Is it just the case with me or for anyone else too?

Hi Team, I want to export more than 50 columns. Created a process to generate two excel and merge them Case 1: If using to new doc in both smart services. The combined doc is not started from specified cell. It starts from last data of first doc. E.g If first excel data ends at AV81 and other sheet starts from AW82, actually it should start from AW1. Case 2: If I am updating the first doc then the data of 1st doc is not reflecting and only 2nd excel document data is reflected Please let me know how to fix this. Thanks

Is there a discord channel or something similar where I can ask questions in real time? I can't find anything that I need in the documentation and I really can't believe that I'm the first person to be asking some of these questions as to why Appian doesn't do certain things out of the box considering it is supposed to be a "low code" solution.

I have used an multiple dropdown box here and whenever i try to select more than 1 option from the multiple dropdown list it is showing this error. Can anyone please guide me through this issue kindly.Thanks and Regards.

Hi, I need to create JWT token, for this installed JWT Tools Plugin, createtoken() function is pasking for externalSystemKey as param, I don't know how and where to configure it, and if it dependent on other 3rd party integration, what to configure there and how it will handshake with apian to test? I have created an email node. The recipient is configured as =toemailrecipient(cons!IAT_PURGING_NOTIF). The node executed successfully however no email is received. Can someone please advise what is wrong here. The constant is setup as type - Email address & Array having multiple recipient values.
