Hi all, I am using the plugin excel tools to import a csv file to db. But after that I want to validate the headers just to see if the column names are the same defined in the db. I tried the function readexcelsheet( excelDocument:local!doc, sheetNumber:0, startRow:0, numberOfColumns: 10 ) But I only got an error saying "evalution error at line ..." Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? maybe something regarding data? Thanks in advance

I have an integration with the Scrum API where I bring project information, I bring the information in a Json and it appears complete (1060 items) but when I pass it from Json to an Appian value the information is lost and brings me 632 items. Is there any other way to avoid losing the information? Because I cannot make a filtering from the API only until I consult the information in Appian.

I have a word document with html tags that I need converted to formatted text. For example I would like <strong>Hello</strong> to display as Hello instead. Currently I'm using Open Office writer doc to generate word document and need to embed html text converted to formatted text which should also preserve coloring and formatting. I have tried to include code as html to parse <b>, <i>, <a>, <li>, <div> and <p>, for example. But all the tags and formatted styles have ignored and resulted in a single normal text. But as of now, I could only display it as normal text as Appian ignores all the html formatted code example <div>, <p>, <li>, <b> etc.

From what I know, you have to go to Admin console and select plug-ins tab. Then choose the plug-ins and deploy it. But, to add plug-ins that are not included in the Appian App Market, you have to contact with the Appian Support team. Do I have the right idea? What I want to do is add plug-ins on on-premise base. How do I add plug-ins?  Could I get a specific description of how? Thank you.

Hi all, I'm working on a graph API integration where I get and load in messages from Graph API. I've got a minor problem in which the content is always returned in html.  In the get message documentation (Get message - Microsoft Graph v1.0 | Microsoft Docs) there is a header, 'Prefer: outlook.body-content-type' which allows for the return type to be set to text which makes it easier to extract the content.  The problem is, when I put this in the header field on an integration I get the following error message:  The header name Prefer: outlook.body-content-type is not valid. A header name may only contain letters, numbers, and the following special characters ! # $ % & ’’ * + - . ^ _ ` | ~  When I try to break the header up it always returns failure. Does anyone know the correct format to put the header name and value pair in? Thanks in advance

Hi, In Appian cloud environment  I'm using the advanced web service call and the web service end-point WSDL and XSD imports were failing to load due to some network  infrastructure issues.    I had to resort to  using Appian OOTB Call Web Service smart service in test process model to isolate root cause or our issue. because all the advanced web service code captured is generic "HTTP transport error: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out" message.   For reference we had to use this plugin because web service WSDL / message definitions contain unsupported XSD schema types so we are hand building the XML message requests For future support issue trouble shooting I was wondering if anyone knows where in Appian cloud environments the full exception stack might already be logged  when com.appiancorp.ps.plugin.wss.SOAPClient class is used  (I didn't see anything in  tomcat std out log file) or if there is som

Hi, Currently, it is mandated to deactivate the VMWare's Vmotion feature to avoid instability and corrupted data. Could you make the APPIAN technical architecture evolve to make it work with Vmotion ? I am trying to connect to a web service by providing WSDL URL from a process model smart shape. The WSDL is accessible smoothly over browser but when tried from Appian it throws below error and also the service endpoints are not listed. The endpoint WSHttpBinding_ISETUP contains a reference to an ExactlyOne policy operator which does not contain a supported policy alternative. That endpoint is not available for selection. The unsupported policies are [[alternative 1 : UsingAddressing]]. (APNX-2-4041-007) Please help on this regard.

hi there,we have an issue with the node "call web service". We are sending some information to "System A" by using the web service. But if "System A" is not available the web service node just stops with an error.  Though the flag "Pause Node on HTTP Error" is set to false.     I would like to handle the error in the process afterwards but this is not possible in this case. Is an easy solution available to handle this problem ? Otherwise I need think about a workaround. thanks Yusuf

Hello All,  We have a requirement to send document to another system using FTPS.   Ive installed the required plugin.   I have added third party credentials in admin console.   When I execute the process to test the connection, I get the following error message: There was an error opening the connection to <servername>. Received fatal alert: handshake_failure Is there anything I miss here? Also, please note this is on premise environment. Should we need to set up FTPS server exclusively for Appian to send files?

Hi all, I'm trying to integrate with Microsoft's Graph API and I'm having a bit of trouble. When attempting to get the bearer token, I'm being returned a html page.  Graph API returning HTML and not json (microsoft.com) <- This source suggests that setting the outgoing content type would resolve this, however I'm not sure where on the integration to put this. I'm quite new to using the Graph API at all and so I'll admit the set up I've gone for may be wrong. Could anyone advise on the authorization/access/token process to get the bearer token in Appian? I'm trying to connect to Microsoft Graph, specifically at the moment to retrieve an access token. Please see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/auth-v2-service#4-get-an-access-token for more details. First, I've got this to work without using a Connected System (Just a HTTP Integration). The problem I would like to overcome is that of the security of the client secret. As per https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/20.4/Integration_Object.html#encrypted-values I only have three options which is to hard code it in plain text in the integration object, to put it into an expression rule or use a connected system. The expression rule is out as it would expose the client secret as plain text and it doesn't appear as though I can utilize the Third-Party Credentials store through the a!scsField() function. As per the Microsoft Graph documentation (first link above) I need to construct the Request Body as follows (This is the example from the documentat
