Does appian have a direct return feature? for example, the normal process runs this way:requester - checker - verification 1 - verif 2 - verif 3there's a condition named 'direct return", it is when verif 3 do a direct return to verif1, and verif1 do another direct return back to the requester, then when the requester do an approval, the process wont go to checker, but go directly to verif1, and after verif1, it will run directly to verif3 (do not need to go through checker and verif2 anymore?)

in this process the financial department submit form to office manager sometimes office manager return the work to financial department to review when office manager return the work to financial department to review on process model , there is no view form option even if i set variables to be multiple

I am using send email smart service. I wanted to mails to customs email, not on groups. Anyone know how to do that? I have used toemailrecipient() function in cc and it's not working and breaking the process also.

Hi as I am new to Appian so I am not able to figure out the issue behind this. This process model is responsible for generating the Month End Review for the Staff and Supervisor. The process runs every second Monday of the month. Initially, it is in enabled status. When a supervisor starts it, it is in initiated status and then the staff under him acknowledges it, and then again the supervisor files it. Once filed the MER has the Filed status and no one can edit it thereafter. But the problem in production that some supervisors are facing is that once it is filed after some time it goes back to the initiated status. This happens to some specific supervisors, not all of them. But we are trying to replicate the same scenario in the test environment but such a scenario does not appear. What could be the probable reason for this? Can this be a browser issue or many users trying to access it at the same time? We couldn't figure out what actually is happening.

I'm trying to send attachments through email smart service but it is showing that there are no documents present even though there are 13 of them present. Please share your thoughts.

Hi Readers, I have a normal form as an interface which when submitted the data need to be stored in a database. I have done everything and the form and database is also working fine now, but when i start the process debugging and initiate the process with the form which i created the data is getting inserted in to the database but the color of the nodes are not changing; but  when i press cancel button the node colors are changing Could you please provide your insights or my mistakes or any checklist that is used to check and fix this issues  NOTE: The application is working fine, i mean the data is inserted into the table and is queried for another report purposes. I have process with multiple approvals. Manager approval i had to give condition in XOR  that the tasktype is modified and particular field is changed then it should go to   Admin approval.Otherwise it should skip the Admin flow. i have given this condition in XOR:  if  = and(pv!approved,or(pv!tasktype=con!MODIFY_TASK,pv!segemnt.serviceDate - true -goto-AdminApproval, Else if =pv!approved-true-go to join else if no rules are true - go to - accontant. I am new to Appian. Still learning the basics. I have two tables 1. Attachments - for adding attachment relate details like fileId,fileName, fileExt, fileSize etc and 2. AttachmentDetails - for description, comments etc Below is the requirement - When i upload a document I save them to the attachment table with attachmentDetails primary key (attachmentDetailsId) After the documents are saved in the attachment table I need to save the attachment tables primary key (attachmentId) to the attachmentDetails table The problem is i am not sure how to update when there are multiple attachments. Hi,  Am using Send email smart service to send email from process model. Have inserted a web image along with some text in the body of the email. Have the following issues: 1. While configuring the process, the image is displayed correctly but when an email is received the image is not being displayed correctly. 2. Instead of using Web Image, is it possible to use image stored as an Appian document ? Thanks in advance. Vikrant.

I am a beginner working on the Appian Developer course and while creating a process model had an issue with a Write to Data Store Entity node.  Details of my error: "An error occurred while trying to write to the entity "AX_Maintenance" [id=a715498b-834b-4663-914f-c2b5b2246cf3@3764, type=AX_Maintenance (id=3832)] (data store: AX Data Store). Details: org.hibernate.PropertyValueException: not-null property references a null or transient value: AXMaintenanceDT4982.vehicleID Data: TypedValue[it=3832,v={<null>,<null>,2022-01-28,0,test,Scheduled,<null>,<null>,<null>,<null>,<null>" Process Model: It looks like the issue is leading back to the AX_Maintenance Data Type that was created as part of Exercise 9 in the Appian Developer course - same exercise where this process model is later created. Instructions: This Data Type is used for two interfaces and connected to a Data Store as well. Status says problem with task.  

Hi Readers, I have a query regarding the process model designing, i want to know can we do the below thing to happen. A single process start for which has a drop down options A, B, C and D for suppose, based on which the process model acts up on. There are four databases as well named as db-A, db-B, db-C and db-D. And Now, when i select A from the drop down present in the start form and click on submit then the details entered in the form need to go to db-A,when i select B from the drop down present in the start form and click on submit then the details entered in the form need to go to db-B, when i select C from the drop down present in the start form and click on submit then the details entered in the form need to go to db-C,when i select D from the drop down present in the start form and click on submit then the details entered in the form need to go to db-D.    Is it possible to make this happen from a process model. If Yes please provide me the insights for doing so

No refresh token was captured, which means users may need to manually reauthorize more frequently. Check the external system's documentation to determine if refresh tokens are supported and how to request them. this type of error  showing while i was authorizing the integration.

I would like to use the feature to "Notify task assignees of new task via email and mobile push notification if applicable" and it sends emails successfully, but there is a problem with the link to the task.  Our envrionment has multple identity providers set up via SAML and the link in the email always trys to use the default identity provider.  Is there a way to specify which identity provider to use for task assignee emails other than the default one?  Adding a query string parameter of ?signin=my-signin-method would work if I generated the email in a custom way, but I'm hoping to just use the out of the box emails if the right signin method can be added to the link.  Any help would be great!

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice. We have a potential requirement to gather an approval or rejection from a user who would not necessarily be a user of Appian. The business cannot define up-front who they would need to gather the approval from and it could be someone different every time so my initial thoughts were to send an email from an Appian process that includes one or more links to send a reply email back to Appian that would start a process model to capture the approval or rejection, the sender and date time stamp. Has anyone tried anything similar? Is it possible to create an email in Appian with the necessary links to send a reply back to Appian? Does anyone have any alternative solutions? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

I have installed appian 21.4 on local (Win 10) . I have observed once I start the process model for debug or through action it's always stuck on start node itself. Hi, I called a summary view interface in another interface using record relationship but having problem in the process model.  This is my Phase Title Interface calling another interface 'Summay View' using the rule input "titleinput" which is a record type. The interface works fine but when I try to create a process model, I am not able to call the parameters.  The expression used:  a!formLayout( label: "Selected Project", contents: { a!sectionLayout( contents: { rule!MD_PM_ProjectSummaryView(ri!titleinput['recordType!}MD_PM_PhaseTitle.relationships.}mdPmProjectdetail']) - I used the record relationship here. } Process model: Is it because titleinput is a record? how to resolve this issue? or how can I use summary view interface in Phase title interface without using the title input record type? I have designed a little HTML template in order to send dynamic emails to the costumer with the send e-mail smart service. But when it comes to outlook emails, the user doesn´t recieve the email. There isn´t any problem on Gmail, I can see the email without any problem. I read that maybe some HTML tags doesn´t work on Outlook, but I do not even get the email. Thanks!

Hi, My customer is going to use Appian solely as process engine, all the UI work is made outside Appian. So, they have people developping each task interface on angular, I do not agree with that, but they already made their decission.  Well, my concern know is find a way to track in appian the fact that a particular user accepts a task. I've tried with reassign smart service but it does not set task owner, it just set assignee task property. Is there any other service or plugin that allows me to make a webApi to set task owner? Hi Everyone, My Requirement is in a HRMS - an Email will be sent to the manager when a Leave is applied by an employee from the process Model, The Email body will have links(buttons). If the manager clicks on a certain link to reply, the particular process(approval / rejection) should be triggered. The first email gets sent from one process model (leave submission). The manager approval process is a different one (manager approval). Tried executing with the available documentation but, succeeded in capturing the mail data if typed and sent by the manager and not able to implement on click of link in the first mail. Kindly let me know the steps if anyone has implemented

Hi, This is my use case: - I have a process launched waiting on a user tasks. The process was launched via webapi, and it gets the security configuration from its process model, as usual.- The security on the process model is setted to give Administration rights to the service account represented by api-key I'm using on my web apis- From another web-api using the same api-key, I execute cancelProcess function, and I get an error talking about inssuficient privileges to do the cancel To my understanding, the process should cancel without errors because the service account used in web-api has administration rights on the process I want to cancel, but this is not what is happenning. Any help will be appreciated
