I have followed setup instruction as per 23.3 doc and installed RPA Agent, JDK and Maven. The agent icon in status bar is not turning to blue, I see it grayed out. And hence the robot is not coming online. Please suggest.

"Hello everyone! I'm currently working with an RPA agent and I'm wondering if anyone has experience or insights on how to automatically start an RPA agent when the system restarts. I'd like to ensure that the agent is up and running without any manual intervention after a system reboot. NOTE: We have a dedicated server for production where we store all our agents and files logs. However, we are experiencing scheduled server downtime every day. Fortunately, the server eventually comes back online, and we expect our bots to automatically go online without requiring any manual intervention. This ensures the continuous operation of our bots once the server is back up.Here are a couple of approaches I follow: 1. I have created a task scheduler using a bat.file, which allows me to automate the startup of the RPA agent at a specific time or during system boot.--- but unfortunately, the scheduled task isn't working as intended. It fails to activate t
Hi All, Whenever I run the RPA process and encounter issues such as process stuck near any step or failures due to XPath changes, I'm encountering an unexpected error in the execution log. The error message reads: "To perform this action, you must first open a browser with the open browser action." even when a browser is already open and operational. Unfortunately, it appears that the system is not recognizing the open browser despite its presence. When attempting to validate element presence using the "is element present", despite setting up expressions to recheck the element 15 times within a loop, I'm encountering an issue where the loop isn't being entered, and instead, an "open browser" error is being generated.
Hello, I've configured the RPA agent on the AWS server, and it runs fine when AWS is open. However, when I close AWS, I'm unable to execute the RPA as it's waiting for the resources too long. The status of the agent is offline.

I am new Appian. I am working the "RPA Tutorial: Parse Excel Files" version (23.2) to read data through RPA robot task, which works fine, but cannot figure out error at the step to Add Excel data to database in PM.. Your help is very appreciated! In Appian Community questions, there was similar question about working on the same training document, and the answer was written: missing one step in the tutorial : In the Appian RPA interface, for the Upload Excel File activity, you must enter "excelDocumentID" as the Target, in the Outputs section. I don't understand this answer because the excelDocumentID column is set as primary key, auto-generate? if this step is the missed step, how to do this step? The errors message I have had: An error occurred while evaluating expression: =pv!roboticTaskVariables.dataValues (Expression evaluation error: Cannot index null List of Map) (Data Inputs)&n
How can I make my RPA in Appian accurately select the gender dropdown option based on input data in a user input form? The robot is currently unable to click the dropdown correctly, and I'm looking for alternative methods to ensure accurate selection based on input.
Hi everyone, We initially installed a development agent on an AWS server to enable the execution of a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) process. When the AWS server is connected, the RPA process runs smoothly. However, when the AWS server gets disconnected, the agent goes offline, causing interruptions in the RPA process. To address this issue, we attempted to use a task scheduler, which previously allowed us to activate the agent at scheduled times or manually. Unfortunately, the task scheduler has recently been unreliable, failing to activate the agent as expected. This problem has been occurring only in the development and testing AWS servers for the past month, while the production environment continues to function properly. I discovered a beneficial feature called "Auto Sign-In" in Appian RPA, which offers the ability to automatically restart a bot without requiring manual login to AWS. This feature aims to provide a convenient and uninterrupted execution of the RPA bot.
"I've been providing the correct file path to the 'Open Excel File' action in Appian for a robotic task, yet I keep receiving an error indicating an incorrect filepath. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'd be grateful for any advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve this error."

Hi all, I have on-Premise environment and cloud environment where RWM ( Robotic Workforce Manager ) Application is installed in Cloud environment. I want to trigger/start RPA Task which is there in RWM Application from On-Premise. Can anyone help me on the steps. Thanks in advance.
Hello there, We need to update an Appian Portal based report (old technology previous to SAIL based reports) that displays multiple process instances. Many of them (around 3000) have incorrect security settings and need to be updated. What is the simplest way to do it? Is it possible to use Appian RPA for it? The solution requires to select each individual entry in the report and change the security settings. It is just a couple of clicks to resolve it but it needs to be done thousands of times. Is it possible to do it through a process model? Any idea would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi, communities Please tell me about the connection status between "Appian RPA (Cloud)" and the Host Machine with "Appian RPA Agent" are installed. When Appian Cloud instructs "RPA" processing from "Process", I think it's the flow of below, Cloud -----> Host Machine(Agent)but how is this connection started in the first place? ---------------------------------------------A) Just issue an order from the Cloud to the Host Machine1. Session Start & RPA instructions Cloud -----> Host Machine(Agent)---------------------------------------------B) Agent initiates a session, and Cloud requests using that session1. Session Start & stay connected Host Machine(Agent) -----> Cloud 2. RPA instructions Cloud -----> Host Machine(Agent)---------------------------------------------C) Other than those above
Windows server allowing 5 concurrent user session logins. Can we have different Appian RPA processes running in different sessions at the same time? Which means installing the agent for each user specific session and connecting it with console and resource.
