Hi All,We've migrated from one Appian instance into another. Part of the application functionality is uploading the file and storing the document id in the database.After migration we continue to use file upload and the new Appian instance will assign the document ids. Obviously in such scenario those document ids will repeat and we will end up having two records referring to two different files with the same id.The physical storage of the documents is resolved by integration with Filenet and it's not really a problem.The question that I have is if we can manipulate the sequence of assigning the document id so we can prevent duplicates (other than via a manual dummy process).<Appian on prem, v22.4>

I have list of objects I want to reuse in  different application. How can I import object as new object with New Application Prefix. Duplicating each object will take time. My goal here is to make objects which are reusable for future. Please let me know if more information needed.

Is there a way to identify the number of logins from past 6 months? I know we can access the login -audit files manually but that would take a lot of time. Is there another easier way to fetch it via rule? Please advise.

Hi all, I've got OpenID Connect (Google) set up on my environment for SSO and it works perfectly. I've got SSO set up for employees but guest/test accounts still use the usual username/password to access the environment. Problem is that all of the usual login links my-environment.appiancloud.com/ or my-environment.appiancloud.com/suite/ or my-environment.appiancloud.com/suite/tempo/ all now default to the Google page where you select your Google account to log in with. That's fine if you're an employee but if you're not, there's no option/link to redirect you to the native Appian login page my-environment.appiancloud.com/suite/?signin=native to enter your username and password. Unless somebody knows the native link, they'll just be stuck in a Google and Appian loop where they're unable to sign in. If they try their Google account (which obviously won't work as they're not employees) it takes them to the Unauthor

Hi all, I am facing some error regarding insufficient group permission. I used a!isusermembergroup() function in a query filter inside applywhen parameter for validation to get list of tasks for a particular group. I am not ale to view the tasks if I am not part of admin group. The visibility permission is "Restricted" for all the groups and gave administrator access for admin groups in security .Please let me know how to resolve this error on insufficient permission.

Hi all, I'm exploring OpenID Connect to use as a SSO. I'm following these links for set up https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/23.1/OpenID_Connect_User_Authentication.html and https://tony-marziano.medium.com/walkthrough-google-openid-connection-with-appian-23-1-a397b67611e4 In the field for Authentication Group, I obviously need to specify an existing group object. My question, do I first need to create a new application, ie: OIDC, and in that application create the group? Or is there some other location for that group to reside? Many thanks,Uel.

A CSRF token is a unique, secret, and unpredictable value that is generated by the server-side application and shared with the client. When issuing a request to perform a sensitive action, such as submitting a form, the client must include the correct CSRF token. Otherwise, the server will refuse to perform the requested action. Hi, A situation that arise frequently is that there are several issues open, and two or more of them include same interface, rule or any other kind of appian object. Deveoppers assigned to each issue made necessary changes and usually they coordinate themselves without problem, but in ocassions we deploy untested or unwanted changes to upper environments by mistake. So, I am thinking on a application that help us on get a better control on deployments. This application act as a ongoing package inventory, and should be able to compare contents of each packages in order to warn about objects that were part of mor than one package. To do so, I need a way to programmatically get the content of a package. Does anybody know a way to achieve this? Regards

Hi All, I have a POC environment where I have some applications working in English US language. I deployed another application package 'ABC' to this POC environment with primary language settings as English GB. Now each time I want to demo my "ABC" application I need to switch my Admin settings Internationalization to English GB. I tried changing the PM primary language as English US for "ABC" but it is not working. Is there any solution approach where I can change the Primary language of my "ABC" application with rest of the other application so as I can work on same internationalization without changing everytime Arpit

General setup is OK, also instance is successfully registered as dev instance. Since it is just an internally used dev instance, we decided to use something like appian.###.internal.###.com to access Appian (left it on port 8080 for the sake of simplicity) Static/dynamic URLs follow the same principle: appian-dynamic.###.internal.###.com appian-static.###.internal.###.com Additionally we set the parameter conf.suite.DISABLE_STRICT_DOMAIN_SECURITY=true Unfortunately we have difficulties with the configuration of static and dynamic content URLs, so self developed components are not working properly. I am getting this error when importing Application in an environment. The recordType [id= uuid=13eb9112-5a87-4853-a549-499536e89c3c] was not imported because a required precedent is missing: java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException (APNX-1-4071-006) Any clue why I am getting this import error? and how this can be resolved?

I have run the Appian Health Check recently.  I chose not to automatically upload results to the community.  After the check completed, I downloaded/extracted the zip file.   Per the documentation, an Appian Health Check summary sheet should be available.   As I review the contents of the zip file, I do not see a Summary sheet. Hi, While trying to update the user type of a user from Basic User to System Administrator from the Admin Console, I am getting the below error: The System Has Encountered an Error HTTP Code: 500 APNX-1-4198-019 An Error Has Occurred Expression evaluation error [evaluation ID = 56b19:29d6a] : An error occurred while executing a save: Expression evaluation error : External Reaction Function with name sys.smartService.internal3.updateuserprofile4, does not exist. Hi Team When users click on "Forgot password" they are not receiving email. However, when admin reset password for the account then they were able to login. Users even checked on spam folder. Any idea on this.

Hello Team, I have a query regarding sign-in page links option in admin console. According to the mentioned functionality, the added links should appear on the sign-in page below forgot password. Hi experts, Our Appian instance is hosted on-premises and we also have an in-house SSO service agent. When users authenticate through the SSO service agent and request an Appian page, is it possible to bypass the login page in Appian by using the credentials generated from our in-house SSO agent, which was developed in Java?  (The current SSO agent does not support SAML.) I would be grateful if you could provide sample code or related examples related to this matter. Thank you.
