How to integrate python script into appian robotic task? I have to create an Appian BOT to convert doc file into pdf. I have created python script for that. I dont know how to intergrate it into appian rpa. can anyone describe whole process of conversion ?

Hi, I have downloaded the agent yesterday and launched the robot manually and status of the Robot is online. After the testing is done, I have quit the robot. Today, I launched the robot again and the robot status is offline.  it is saying Resource/ nodeNotSet v9.10.1 . If I download the agent again from operations console, its working fine. Hi, I am going through the RPA Tutorial Browser Module. In same while trying to add action "Enter Search Term", post executing the robotic process, i am getting below warning The element (By.name: q) could not be interacted with because the component is currently disabled or hidden. Can anyone suggest what can be done in this case, as the RPA client is not able to enter value in search box due to above issue

Hi guys, I have create a RPA task and calling it in the process model. In the process model the integration throwing "Execution results must be available on call back to Appian." But the RPA task is running without any errors. Can anyone help on this please?

Hi, I have a problem with a robotic task executed by a service account and the privileges to open a browser. I created a robotic task that starts by opening a browser to download a PDF. When I manually execute the robotic task, it runs without any issues. I'm using an execute robotic task node in a process to run this task. I created the integration with the connected system using an API Key from a valid user (Service Account). This user is included in the security settings of the objects related to the task. Hi,  I am using RPA to create an automation which opens up a chrome browser, logs-in into a webiste, filters data and gets a file downloaded into the local host machine There are 2 problems that I am facing  1. It takes ages to even open up the browser  2. While trying to open the browser, it searches for a chromewebdriver to be present inside its assets file in local host machine. Now even though there is a webdriver existing inside the host machine, it gives an error saying :  WebDriver file does not exist. Attempting to auto resolve it from the console... Can anyone help me in getting an idea so as to why such issues are happening ? I get an excel file with the process model and store it in "pv!copyTemplateExcel". I specify it in "Open or create workbook(License not required)". But I get an error saying "[Document:10814]" cannot be opened because it does not exist. Could you please tell me the solution?

Hello team. I am trying to automate process that involves downloading a PDF of a quote from an external service application site and emailing it to our company. In Robotic Task, we can specify the file in Upload Document in Robotic Task and the file will be on Appian. I believe I have to upload the document and output it to use it as a variable. However, there is a problem with the file path. It is not known what the name of the file is that PRA downloaded from an external site, and I am facing a problem that I cannot specify it in the development screen of Robotic Task. Below is what we have tried to do for this problem. It was not acceptable for RPA to change the name of the downloaded file before downloading the file (cannot click on the item inside Explorer). I can find out the name of the most recently downloaded file at the command prompt, but RPA cannot enter that code at the command prompt, and RPA could not read the command prompt results. I was trying to test a existing bot(the bot is in Appian RPA 9.2.0/Appian 23.2) in latest version of Appian RPA9.3.0/Appian 23.3 at the time it shows Incompatible issue so I delete the Existing Agent (Robot) and Create a New Agent in latest version of RPA and uses Robot Pool for creating Robotic task(bot) for newly creating bot's its works fine,  But it doesn't works for old version bots even i change its permission tags  I can't able to add them in Robot pool because already existing Bots doesn't appear in Robot pool space  ?

Note: Using actions under Excel: Licensed Required I am having an issue where I could not get the visible rows of the Excel file after filtering it.  Steps I am currently doing in my robotic task:  1. Open Workbook, 2. Get the last range of the current worksheet.  2. Filter the first column by the variable: dateFilter (only filtered rows are now visible on the file). 3. Get the range, (I am getting ALL of the rows, even the invisible ones) 4. Close Workbook. Thank you!

I have a robotic task which is connected to a process model, which worked well yesterday. But upon testing it again (without changing anything) and opening the executed robotic task in the Operational Console, I noticed that the variables of this RT is not visible after the run. Hi,I am trying to create my Robotic task by recording actions.Once I start recording, I am getting message as below to get started -To begin recording select the application in the menu below. But I am not getting any menu drop down or an selection list options to select the browser application. My host machine (VM) looks fine as all software installed and Robot Enabled from opsconsole.  (Host Machine : jdk-22_windows-x64_bin , apache-maven-3.8.8-bin, Appian RPA). Appian version 24.1Windows Specification:Edition: Windows Server 2022 DatacenterVersion:21H2 Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8259CL CPU @ 2.50GHz   2.50 GHzRAM: 8GBBrowsers version:Chrome : 124 and MS Edge: 123 What could be the possible issue/reason ? Please guide. Hi Team, I have just started exploring appian RPA. Following the instructions in the documents, i downloaded the JRE ver 8 and then installed the agent. I received the message that installation is successful but the agent is not running. The agent icon in the taskbar is grey. Also, when i checked the connection details, it shows -  my bot remains offline in the operations console- Can anyone please assist me with the correct way to troubleshoot and understand the root cause so that the bot is online.

Hi, I want to easily identify which robot task is running using the RPA console dashboard. The robot task runs a report for a customer. The robot task is parameter driven by process model variables that define which customer and which report the robot task should run. The process model calls the robot task multiple times passing a customer and a report parameter as each customer can have multiple reports. The issue is to see the customer and report parameters incorporated into the robot task name on the dashboard to aid progress tracking and any diagnosis without getting into execution logs, in much the same way that a process model can have a dynamic name that shows in the monitoring tab. Hi team, I am new to appian rpa and I am trying to build a bot using task recorder. however, i do not see my bot's name in the available bot list. i tried to restart the agent, relauch rpa installer. Bot status shows online in operations console but it is not available for task recording. Can anyone help me to understand if i am missing something? Thanks in advance

Hi All, I am new to RPA in Appian, my requirement is to download the excel report from external site and pass it to appian process model, then in appian we can read the excel data and write it to our Database. We have a URL to external site, for example, URL - https://abc.com and inside this site lets assume we have below document links to download Document(A) Document(B) Document(C) from the above documents, RPA should download only Document(B) and should pass it to Appian Process Model. Here I am not getting any reference for creating a Robotic task for this action, so could you please help me with the details/steps how to proceed further. Thanks in Advance!

I am bserving in the project some errors related to Maven with a text like Project build error: Non-resolvable parent POM So, I try to request an Update Maven Project in Eclipse becouse Appain Document states To perform this update, we must go to the project root in Eclipse and press ALT + F5, which will request an Update Maven Project. When the pop-up window shows up, we can also mark the option Force Update of Snapshots/Releases to be even more sure.in docs.appian.com/.../IDE-setup.html However, I am getting an error below."Help document /de.jcup.sqleditor/html/open-label-reference.html cannot be opened." I have no idea what is open-label-reference.html. Could you tell me what I should do to resolve it?
