The following meta tag is present in the HTML source code of the browser when using Portal, causing the browser to emulate IE7 and making it incompatible with systems that require newer versions of IE to be used:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
This meta tag can be located by going to the developer tools of the browser as shown in the following image:
When using Portal, Appian automatically emulates IE7 because Portal is not compatible with newer browsers.
Update the applications to use Tempo/Sites since the Portal interface is now deprecated.
This article applies to all versions of Appian using Portal.
