When using Tomcat as the application server and Oracle XA as the database, the following error is seen in the application server log:
SEVERE [localhost-startStop-1] org.apache.tomcat.util.modeler.Registry.registerComponent Null component Catalina:type=DataSource,host=localhost,context=/suite,class=javax.sql.XADataSource,name="jdbc/AppianPrimaryDS"
Oracle XA is an unsupported database for all versions of Appian.
Use one of the supported database options in the System Requirements documentation.
This article applies to all versions of Appian using Oracle XA as the database.
