Excessive logging of type "ERROR com.appiancorp.rest.filter.SailXrayLoggingFilter" observed in the application server log

Symptoms

The application server log has the following error message repeated throughout:

ERROR com.appiancorp.rest.filter.SailXrayLoggingFilter - logging data in ThreadLocal was set to null. It should have been properly initialized

No error is observed on the user interface.

Cause

This issue has been addressed via AN-123928 in the following hotfixes/versions:

• Appian 17.3 Hotfix Package Q
• Appian 17.4 Hotfix Package P
• Appian 18.1 Hotfix Package L
• Appian 18.2 Hotfix Package J
• Appian 18.3 Hotfix Package G
• Appian 18.4 Hotfix Package D

Action

Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.
