After renaming an object, or importing a renamed object, some dependent objects still reference the old function name and show an "Invalid function" error similar to the following:
The following warning was not seen on object rename:
Additional symptoms:
The dependent objects that were missing from the renamed rule's dependency list were using by-name references.
The renamed object is now safe to rename.
