DRAFT KB-XXXX Twilio Component version 1 fails to load with error "Failed to decrypt" after upgrade to Appian 19.3 or above

Symptoms

After upgrading to the latest hotfix of Appian version 19.3 or above, the Twilio component fails to render within Appian, and the application server log shows the following error:

ERROR com.appiancorp.twilioservlet.TwilioServlet - Error initializing Twilio
com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.AppianException: Failed to decrypt. Only values of type ’Encrypted Text’ can be decrypted. (APNX-1-4260-002)

Cause

Twilio version 1 is not compatible with the latest hotfix of Appian 19.3 and above.

Action

Upgrade the Twilio Component from version 1 to version 2. For instructions, follow KB-XXXX How to upgrade a!twilioField from version 1 to version 2.
