When typing cons! or rule! in Appian Designer, the suggestion pop-up is slow or hangs indefinitely.

The performance of this suggestion is dependent on the number of object versions. Therefore, if rule! or cons! suggestions are slow, then there are likely a large number of rule or constant versions respectively on the environment.
Follow the Action section in KB-1226 to identify and clean up rules and constants with a large number of versions.
Alternatively, the same data can be retrieved directly in Appian Designer without importing an application by running getcontentobjectswithnumofversions() from the Content Tools plugin in an expression rule.
