DRAFT dKB-XXXX Appian object not searchable; Object found in /design, but missing from objects tab

Symptoms

An Appian object is not searchable in any of the following locations:

• The "Add Existing Objects" modal in the application design.
• The Objects tab in /design.
• When Duplicating an Existing object in the Create object modal.

• The Appian object is usually still searchable:

• In the appropriate application in /design.

The affected object is usually visible in the appropriate application in /design, but not in the objects tab.

The object may only be affected in one environment, but searchable in other environments.

Most other objects seem to be unaffected.

Affected objects still function properly, but are not searchable.

Action

Export the affected object and then re-import the object back into the appropriate application.  The object will now be searchable in all appropriate search bars in designer.  The object will now be visible in the objects tab in /design.
