DRAFT KB-XXXX Documents created by the Export to Excel smart service do not correctly inherit security from their parent folder

Symptoms

After running the OOTB Export to Excel smart service, the resulting document does not inherit security from the parent folder into which it is saved, as described in the smart service documentation.

Cause

This issue has been addressed via AN-96987 in Appian 17.4.

Action

Upgrade to the latest version of Appian.
